Encompassing more than 30,000 square feet of airy, light-filled space, the department will include procedure rooms, administrative offices and workstations, outer and inner waiting rooms, private screening rooms, spacious change rooms, and staff facilities.

Located on the first floor, adjacent to the Magna Emergency and linked to the surgical suites, the Medical Imaging Department will be an integral stop for many patients who journey through the Mackenzie Health system.  What connects this network of two hospitals and community providers is the electronic imaging network that enables family doctors, specialists and radiologists alike to access accurate patient health records and tests.  The new space will be designed to facilitate state-of-the-art image-guided procedures, which offer faster, less invasive treatments that are easier for patients.
