Mackenzie Health’s most critical patients receive lifesaving care in the critical care cubicles. These spaces feature full-length, breakaway glass doors that can be quickly removed to allow for more staff or equipment to be brought in when seconds mean the difference between life and death. Each room also includes wall-mounted computer workstations where doctors and nurses can access patients’ electronic medical records, including test results, without leaving the bedside.

Once the patient is stabilized, they’re admitted to the Critical Care Unit on the second floor of Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.
